Intro to coming reviews on beauty products :)

I'm always on a quest searching for the right beauty products for my face. The one that can helps control acne, smooth the skin, brighten it up, affordable price and with less hard to pronounce and scary  ingredients.

Talking about ingredients, i'm used to be too paranoid over weird chemicals they use to make beauty products. I'm not a chemistry student, I'm an engineering but I do read a lot about science and chemistry and I enjoy doing research on these kind of thing. Once there was a hype about organic products that claim to have all the natural ingredients and safe for the skin, no synthetic chemical that can be too harsh and dangerous and absorb into the body :p I'm completely fell for it. haha. The internet even has environmental working group- Cosmetic database.com is like an online dictionary for any chemicals used for beauty products to educate consumer on safe cosmetics. Search for any products or ingredients on the website, and there is a scale from 1 to 8. The higher the number, the dangerous it is.

But my research doesn't end yet. I'm still skeptical on organic products. If it is so good and SAFE, why some people can still get side effects from it. Then came along the Beauty Brains. A website special by a group of real cosmetic scientist(who understand what the chemicals in cosmetics really do-aboutbeautybrains) to answer any beauty questions. From here i learned, just because it is an organic products, doesn't mean it is safe because some people is allergic to natural ingredients too and chemicals doesn't mean bad as well. It's like a preservative to help preserve the products longer (Also an expensive product doesn't mean it is better than cheaper ones, we paid for the brand most of the time. Whatever it is, check the ingredients).

Plus, if a product is too natural, how is it going to really helps all wrinkles, pores, etc. Because there is no advance technology in them. It's about the same if you use honey, cucumber or anything from your kitchen as your beauty products. I'm not saying that organic product is useless, I just don't like the claim that is overrated. I myself do use a few organic products and I love all of them. What I mean is, not all chemicals are bad.It depends on your skin. If your skin love it, then maybe it's for you.

So now, I take 50-50, natural with a little bit of technology. haha. Anything with less list of ingredients is considered ok to me. Anyway, I'll review one soon. Again, more or less, either way, results depends on skin. :)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I've watched HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - part 1 and it was AWESOME.

Personally i think this was the best harry potter film ever. maybe because of the colour. It was not that same old dark look. I mean hp film before this focused more in the hogwarts school, the forbidden forest, the prison so they have that dark witchery feeling. But this time, most of the action was shot outside hogwarts not the forbidden forest. So you can finally see the amazing scenery of the wizards world (or should i say the amazing imagination of JK Rowling). In this film, muggles were in very big trouble, Ron had an uncontrollable jealousy over harry potter and hermione, the second horcrux was destroyed, deathly hallows was about 3 brothers and death, Harry looks short, Dobby was so cute, I hate Voldemort and I loved hermione outfit!

Fuh. Please watch people! I know i am supposed to give full reviews since this is a review blog ,owh forgive me coz im not going to spoil the thrill!
Watch Watch Watch ^_^

Holiday In Korea!

Ever wonder how its like goin to korea for a holiday? Think ure a kpop(korean pop) or kdrama(korean drama) maniac? or maybe u enjoy shopping like there is no night and day?
Hehe then this place is totally for u!
I went to korea in June 2010 with mum n 2 sisters. It was spring and err almost to summer. Hot and humid during the day but cold at night. like Malaysia except dat Malaysia is hotter. Korea have very nice scenery, like the one u see in any kdrama ofcourse :) ( my favourite is boys over flower and stairways to heaven). We stay there for 5 days only, not enough time! especially for shopping. If u plan to go there, makesure it is atleast one week or more. The time difference is 1 hour ahead of Kuala Lumpur and travelling time is approximately 6 1/2 hours.
Currency > 10000 won = Rm 30.00

So day 1,
We arrive Incheon airport Seoul, and then we went for a Seagull Cruise, next to Palace (I forgot the name of the palace)  and in the evening  we went for shopping at the famous Dong-dae-moon market.

Above, Incheon Airport.

Seagull Cruise- hundreds of birds waiting for us to feed them, it was amazing!

Palace, this place is freaking big. Im tired of walking.

Below-Dong-dae-moon market. This place is like a small town actually. But the place that we went below is under one building, its where all the young designer in korea gather together selling their masterpiece. so talking abt designer, the stuff here is quite expensive compared to Malaysia. We wanted to go to the real market(outside this building) where things are much more cheaper, but not enuf time( down side for going in groups, urgh)

All kinds of hair accesories u cud ever wish for :)

skincare and makeups, sorry i dont have the pictures on the clothing side. But yes of course everything was awesome(esp the shoes side-killer heels-killer design-unknown designer-1 for Rm1000?-CRAZY!)

Day 2 -  Nami Island. Next we went to shopping street (sorry i forgot the name :(  ) got many shoplots, and then a cable car ride to the top of the mountain called Sorak.
we ride a boat first to go there.
Nami Island -  I love this place so much. So beautiful. kdrama Winter Sonata did their shots here :) (maybe one day i'll come here for honeymoon hehe).

Up and up and up
Mount Sorak :) Nice view indeed

Dinner!Kimchi is a must!

Day 3 - First stop was the Herbal Park. Nature lovers u are most welcome here. They have thousands of plants and flowers and they make their very own herbal candy too - err eucalyptus candy? Next was my favourite stop Yeo-Juand branded outlet. ok price was of course expensive coz its a branded stuff but outlets are always cheaper, Malaysia doesnt have outlets town!.then again not enuf time to browse the whole place coz next were going to the Everland Themepark! we didnt take any rides bcoz it was raining. so we just walk around. This theme park is so big . nothing like Genting okay. anyway enjoy the pictures :)

Pizza anyone?

Day 4 - Visit to Gyeong-Bok Palace( kdrama Jewel in the Palace did their shots here), we also learned how to make Kimchi at the Kimchi School and we went to the Amethyst Factory. At the end of the day, we watched the famous Korean Nan-Ta show. It's a funny musical show banging on pots and pans. No pictures were allowed to be taken. ngeee too bad. hermm during the show, i fell asleep actually, i was so freaking tired. those loud music were now like a lullaby. But the show was great, its not like i slept the whole time :)

Day 5 - Time to go home. Depart from Incheon Airport on MH67. Flew back to Malaysia. Good bye korea! m gonna miss you. one sweet day i'll come again for sure! :)))

Basically, Korea is a very beautiful place, Its like a shopping heaven. just bring lots of money!!!! there are still other places that we havent go to like the teddy bear museum, but hey its only 5 days.and whats with all the rush and all those not enuf time moments was becoz.. well korean , they sleep early and wake up early like 4, 5am, so by 7pm we must head back to hotel. For 5 days i woke up at 4.30am!!!. It still a sleeping time for Malaysians! anyhow Malaysia Boleh! :) ~m still missing Nami Island~
